2022 Honda Accord Sport Release Date, Redesign, Changes – Honda updated the Accord in 2021, swapping out the EX trim for the Sport Special Edition. The previously available manual transmission was discontinued. Other changes involved tech updates including a new 8-inch touch-screen display, smartphone integration, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. We think it will carry on mostly unchanged for 2022.
The Honda Accord is a midsize sedan that seats five. It’s based on a design rolled out in 2018 where the coupe was dropped and the sedan was made slightly larger and more elegant with a roomy trunk.
2022 Honda Accord Sport Interior
The interior is as roomy as any model in the segment. In fact, the Accord is rated as a “large car” by the EPA, although it competes in the midsize segment. With nearly 40 inches of rear legroom, the Accord is comfortable throughout.
The cabin is uncluttered and orderly, just as we’ve always seen with the Accord. Cloth upholstery comes standard in most trims; while leather-wrapped seats are reserved for the EX-L and Touring models.
In the tech arena, Honda supplies the Accord with an 8-inch touch-screen display, a four-speaker audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports, and smartphone integration. A Wi-Fi hotspot, 8- and 10-speaker audio systems with HD Radio and satellite radio, and a wireless charging pad are among the upgrades.
